GN 2-WAY Flow Divider is designed to maximize the solids removal capabilities of shale shaker. It is mainly used for GNZS703 tandem shale shaker, GNZS852 triple shale shaker.

Ensures even distribution of liquid and solids to downstream shakers
Solids removal efficiencies are dramatically increased by the Flow divider, which distributes fluids/solids equally to multiple downstream shale shakers. Positive sealing weir gates are removable, allowing flow per selected shaker or installed omitting flow. The Flow divider eliminates the need for back tanks and shaker bypasses and minimizes the effect of pitch and heave. The unit is available in four sizes: 2,3, 4, 5, and 6 way.
Mud from the flow line enters the rear of the Flow divider (1) where it contacts a baffle (2) allowing the flow to pass under and sometimes over before it flows over the weirs (3), and divides the liquid and solids equally between the desired number of shaker feed ports (4). Positive-sealing weir gates permit flow to the downstream shakers .
This week GN shipped several sets of stainless steel mud agitators to Algeria. Normally our agitator material is carbon steel, but sometimes we can make customized equipments, such as customized shaft length, impeller diameter, impeller thickness, material, etc.
A mud agitatoris used in surface mud systems to suspend solids and maintain homogeneous mixture throughout the system. A mechanical agitator is driven by an explosion-proof motor, coupled to a gear box that drives the impeller shaft. The impellers (turbines) transform mechanical power into fluid circulation or agitation. The objective is to obtain a uniform suspension of all solids.

Mud agitator can be divided into horizontal mounted agitator and vertical mounted agitator according to mounting method.
All Derrick agitators feature a “C” face motor coupled to a rugged oilfield gearbox, which
eliminates misalignment and troublesome couplings. This configuration promotes longer motor and gearbox bearing life. Derrick uses a Helical-Bevel gear unit to turn the impeller.
This highly efficient gearbox offers a 95% power transfer, which is approximately 30% more than a worm drive gearbox. Helical-Bevel gearboxes are preferred over worm gear arrangements because of their power efficiency, reliability, and lower operating temperatures.

Following is a proposal for a liquid mud plant for Brazil client. It has the following advantages.

A small mud tank with a capacity of 10 to 15 barrels, usually with 1-barrel or h-barrel divisions, used to ascertain the amount of mud necessary to keep the wellbore full with the exact amount of mud that is displaced by drill pipe. When the bit comes out of the hole, a volume of mud equal to that which the drill pipe occupied while in the hole must be pumped into the hole to replace the pipe. when the bit goes back in the hole, the drill pipe displaces a certain amount of mud, and a trip tank can be used again to keep track of this volume.

GN decanter centrifuges are widely used in complete drilling fluids recycling system, work together with cutting dryer. Such drilling fluids circulation system is widely used in Venezuela and other South American countries.

There is big demand of oilfield drilling mud system/solids control system in Venezuela. Before they mainly purchased the drilling mud system from USA . But now more and more clients realize that they can purchase rig packages from China, although the delivery time and transportation will be longer and complicated, they can save a considerable drilling cost.
A complete drilling fluids circulation system including shale shaker, mud cleaner( or separate desander, desilter), screw conveyer , Cutting dryer, recycling mud tank, decanter centrifuge(with feeding pump), drilling mud reserve tank/storage tank, etc.
After processed by cutting dryer, the large drilling cuttings have been separated out, the drilling fluids flows to recycling tank or to decanter centrifuge through screw pump. Since decanter centrifuge has higher separation factor than cutting dryer, it can separate fine particles from the drilling fluids and recycling barite to keep the drilling fluids balance.
Last week GN solids control attend 11th CIPPE held in Beijing on 22th, March. To some extent, it is a successful oil show, Many professional manufacturers of drilling rig, drilling tools, drilling fluids solids control system/mud circulation system, and accessories, etc in China attend the fair.

What is the features of GN mud circulation system?
1 It consists of GN new designed BEM shaker, GNZJ703 mud cleaner, LW450x1000N decanter centrifuge, mixing hopper and mixing pump, the complete electric control panel and tank accessories( stairs, handrails, slide walkways, mud pipeline, clean gate, etc)
2 Process of GN mud circulation system
First, drilling mud is flowed into the buffer box of the shale shaker through mud divided equipments, then entered the 2 sets of BEM shale shaker, after treated drilling mud flowed into shaker compartment, which is sand trap designed.
#1 centrifugal pump feeds the mud from shaker compartment to desander cone of mud cleaner, then the clean mud droped into desander compartment;
#2 centrifugal pump feeds the mud from desander compartment to desilter cone, then the clean mud droped into desilter compartment.
The submersible slurry pump feeds the mud from desilter compartment to the centrifuge, to separate solids particle size 2~5μm. Now the clean mud can be used directly for drilling through pipelines, or weighten by mixing hopper. After weighten drilling fluids, they can be recycled and re-used in the drilling operations.
