GN solids control provide solution for oilfield drilling waste disposal.

Oil and gas wells cannot be drilled without creating waste. However, with good waste management practices, the amount of waste can be reduced. By far, the greatest volume of waste generated in the drilling process is drilled cuttings. The first step is to use good solids control equipment, such as the GN linear motion shale shaker, mud cleaner, and decanter centrifuges.

When operated properly, the solids control equipment removes drilled solids from the mud, maintaining the rheology and thereby decreasing the need for dilution. Good solids control equipmentoperated properly also yields drier solids. Both decreased dilution and drier solids reduces waste and increase profits for the operator.

The second step is to use good drilling waste treatment equipments, like GN hi-G shaker or vertical cutting dryer, big bowl big volume decanter centrifuge, drilling waste collection box, dewatering unit etc. NOV Brandt called vertical cutting dryer “Vortex dryer”, there is also horizontal dryer.

What is slurry pump?

A Slurry pump is a type of centrifugal pump in physics principle that increases the pressure of liquid and solid particle mixture, through centrifugal force (a rotating impeller) and converts electrical energy into slurry potential and kinetic energy.

There are 2 kinds of slurry pump, horizontal type and vertical type, for vertical type pump, there are submersible slurry pump and underwater pump. Submersible slurry pump is widely used for drilling fluids transferring, underwater pump is used for fluids transfer. Horizontal slurry pump is also used for drilling slurry transfer, just the installation method is different to meet different mud tank size.

What is vertical slurry pump?

Vertical slurry Pump is the cantilever pump structure of single stage and single suction, with the bearing housing, supporting, intermediate pipe connecting the pump hydraulic components, the water is discharged out from the drain pipe parts, pump impeller is for semi-shrouded with the agitating vane on the vane extended, the main characteristic of this pump is the underwater pump shaft parts have enough rigidity, the impeller and pump shell have no bearings, no shaft seal, which can transport the greater medium of solid particles. 4)      Mixing Tank(40feet container size) with one SB8x6-13(55Kw) mixing pump and one mud hopper, completed with mud agitators and mud guns.

Usually clients will buy 10000ft drilling rig from USA, so the electricity is 460V60HZ, 480V/60HZ, GN drilling mud system can meet their electricity rate. And our explosion proof mark of the electric control system is class1, div 1. As a part of the land rig of 10000ft, our drilling mud system including pipelines from shale shaker inlet to outlet of mud pump charging pump, including mixing pipeline, water pipeline, mud gun pipeline, overflow line, suction line,etc. Also we provide mud gas separator installed on the trip tank( if the mud system has a separate trip tank.) GN desander, desilter have standard frame for hydrocyclones. This made our design, production high efficiently. For desander, we have standard GN1S with treating capacity 500gpm, GN2S with treating capacity 1000gpm, GN3S with treating capacity 1500gpm. For desilter, we have standard GN8N with treating capacity 500gpm, GN12N with capacity 1000gpm, GN16N with capacity 1500gpm. If you required large quantity, we can make other hydrocyclone qty according to your required treating capacity. Desander, desilter has no underflow shaker.

Mud conditioner also called mud cleaner, some times we called desander, desilter, shale shaker 3 in 1. Also for mud cleaner, we have standard 500gpm, 1000gpm, 1500gpm mud cleaner with optional linear motion shaker or balanced elliptical motion shaker. Compared with separate desander, desilter, mud conditioner have the following advantages:

1 With larger shale shaker, can process mud better and recovery more drilling mud to save drilling cost.

2 Save space, you only need to place one machine which can do the job for 3 machines together.
