B    Steel frame screen is constructed with two or three stainless steel layers bonded tightly to the steel frame. The frame is made of high-strength square steel tube or flat steel welded to multi- ribbed construction. These layers are coupled with the frame through metal backing plate or bonded straightly as well.

1 Measure the length and width of a panel opening with a dial or digital calliper to the nearest mm.

2 Perform a similar calculation for all panel openings on both screen used in the analysis. Sum the individual results to obtain the total non-blanked area of each panel mount screen in mm2.

3 Convert the total non-blanked area to ft2 by using the conversion factor.

4 Average the two non-blanked area results to obtain the final answer for total non-blanked area of screen panel.
