Why we should have drill slurry storaged? Mainly it is because of the reasons below:
(1) Requirement for the carriage and storage of mud on mobile drilling units has increased over the years, it is not convenient to process the drilling mud at the platform, you have to collect the used drill slurry and carry it to drilling fluids plant for process, then recycle the clean drill slurry and disposal the useless cuttings, so that it will not influence the environment.

(2) Clean drill slurry should be storaged for use, for drilling , for mixing , for lubricate the drill bit.
(3) Useless drill cuttings should be collected and storage, then carried to drilling waste management system for process.
GN solids control manufacture drill slurry storage tank for various application, with necessary mud agitators, mud gun, centrifugal pump and mixing hopper. We can produce mud storage tank together with solids control system or separately. Compared with shaker tank and intermediate tank, the pipeline of storage tank is much simple, if required by the clients, we will divide it into several compartment by clapboard. Sometimes mud ditch is installed on each compartment. Handrails, stairs, cleaning gate, valves are included, but walkways are not included. There is flexible hose connected 2 tanks.

How a venturi hopper work?
The fluid velocity must increase through the constriction to satisfy the equation of continuity, while its pressure must decrease due to conservation of energy: the gain in kinetic energy is balanced by a drop in pressure or a pressure gradient force. An equation for the drop in pressure due to the Venturi effect may be derived from a combination of Bernoulli’s principle and the equation of continuity.

GN solids control mud system can be used for both oil & gas drilling and water well drilling. Water wellis an excavation or structure created in the ground by drilling to access groundwater in underground aquifers. Most shallow well drilling machines are mounted on large trucks, trailers, or tracked vehicle carriages. Water wells typically range from 3 to 18 m deep, but in some areas can go deeper than 900 m.

Most of the water well drilling rig is trailer mounted or truck mounted, for convenient transportation from one place to another. Some contractors do not process the used mud from water well drilling, but recently there are more strict laws for environment protection, they have to search for small mud recycling system to complete the job. They prefer trailer mounted mud system, GN 200gpm trailer mounted mud recycling system is widely used for water well drilling. Total transportation dimension is 5500x2300x4000mm( including the trailer height), it meets the transportation limit in most of the countries in the world( you do not need to remove anything when transport in domestic). Last week GN solids control attend 11th CIPPE held in Beijing on 22th, March. To some extent, it is a successful oil show, Many professional manufacturers of drilling rig, drilling tools, drilling fluids solids control system/mud circulation system, and accessories, etc in China attend the fair.

What is the features of GN mud circulation system?
1 It consists of GN new designed BEM shaker, GNZJ703 mud cleaner, LW450x1000N decanter centrifuge, mixing hopper and mixing pump, the complete electric control panel and tank accessories( stairs, handrails, slide walkways, mud pipeline, clean gate, etc)
2 Process of GN mud circulation system
First, drilling mud is flowed into the buffer box of the shale shaker through mud divided equipments, then entered the 2 sets of BEM shale shaker, after treated drilling mud flowed into shaker compartment, which is sand trap designed.
#1 centrifugal pump feeds the mud from shaker compartment to desander cone of mud cleaner, then the clean mud droped into desander compartment;
#2 centrifugal pump feeds the mud from desander compartment to desilter cone, then the clean mud droped into desilter compartment.
The submersible slurry pump feeds the mud from desilter compartment to the centrifuge, to separate solids particle size 2~5μm. Now the clean mud can be used directly for drilling through pipelines, or weighten by mixing hopper. After weighten drilling fluids, they can be recycled and re-used in the drilling operations.
