GN Decanter Centrifuge

GN Solids Control Framework Decanter centrifuge is easy for lifting when loading and unloading. The Netzsch brand Nemo pump for feeding centrifuge also mount on the skid, thus make it as compact unit. The end user use this for waste water treatment.  See below of technical specifications.

Centrifuge type: high speed & variable speed centrifuge which can be used for fine solids separation (drilling waste management); mud weight cuttings (solids control); barite recovery (solids control);

Centrifuge production material:  Bowl cylindrical and conical section production material- duplex stainless steel 2205 by centrifugal casting; Other parts of the bowl assembly production material – Stainless Steel 316L. Screw protection production material – Tungsten Carbide alloy tiles for longer life. Genuine SKF bearing for better working performance and longer time.

GN vertical cuttings dryer

One set cuttings dryer equipment is ready for delivery to North-West of China customer. The customer use the Vertical cuttings dryer for oil sludge treatment. They are famous oil service company. Most of the project is from CNPC.  GN 2nd Vertical cuttings dryer with below points technical specs.

Dryer model: GNCD930C

Dryer type: middle speed & fixed speed vertical dryer which can be used to recycle the base mud from the drilling wast. Thus, to promote the use efficiency of drilling mud.

Dryer is equipped with air line, scraper and basket screen. The air line need a stable and strong air to blow the screen basket during working.

Up to now, GN Solids Control have mature solids control equipment models. This can meet most of the requirement from end users, but not all. Some special requirement from customers, we have to take more time to do some necessary works. Eg. Shale shaker. GN Solids Control have 3 basic model shale shaker, GNZS752 series shaker, GNZS703 series shaker and GNZS594 series shaker. The treating capacity is 200gpm, 500gpm and 600gpm separately.  For workover rig or small geothermal rig, the separate shale shaker is enough to treat the returned drilling mud from rig, but for large oil drilling rig, 2 or 3 sets of shale shaker generally required.

Dual Connection Shale Shaker

GN just got Purchase order from Egypt Drilling Company. They require one set Dual connection shale shaker. The dual connection shale shaker should come with distributor to separate the drilling mud evenly from the well. GN Solids Control connect two sets GNZS703 series shale shaker with same big base to connect. You can see more details from the pictures.

Control panel is electrical control for Decanter Centrifuge. Different decanter centrifuge has different kinds of control panel. Flame Ex-proof small control panel is used for fixed speed centrifuge;  A bigger PLC positive pressurized control panel is used for variable frequency drive centrifuge. Screw conveyor is widely used in drilling mud solids control & waste management as important transportation equipment. Proper use of screw conveyor can make the field job with small footprint and high working efficiency. Let’s draw some conclusions on screw conveyor application in drilling waste management.

1) Connection between mud solids control system & drilling waste management system

The screw conveyor can positioned paralleled with solids control system, equipment like shale shaker, desander, desilter (or mud cleaner, combination of desander & desilter). The paralleled screw conveyor can collect the drilling cuttings discharged from solids control equipment and transport to next slant screw conveyor. This screw conveyor is for feeding for Hi-G dryer or Vertical-G dryer.

2) Feeding for Hi-G dryer & Vertical-G dryer

GN drilling waste management system, the first separation phase is generally equipped with Hi-G dryer or Vertical-G dryer. They both can be used for water based mud, oil based mud & synthetic based mud. Generally, the Hi-G dryer is more proper for water based mud; vertical-G dryer is more proper for synthetic based mud with comprehensive consideration.

The screw conveyor can make the feeding more even/homogeneous, in this case, the working performance of Hi-G dryer or vertical-G dryer can be stable.

To acheive zero discharge for the drilling mud, GN Solids Control provide the dewatering decanter centrifuge with the flocculent unit.

The GN1500 Series 20FT Dewatering Unit provides a process of chemically enhanced configuration to remove the fine solids less than 5 microns from the water based drilling fluids.

Traditional Solids Control Equipment:

As it known that traditional solids control equipments like shale shaker,desander desilter, and decanter centrifuge will removes solids upper than 5 microns, for colloidal-size particles which is less than 5 microns will build up in the drilling mud system. To maintain the drilling mud properties, the operators have to dilute the drilling fluids with water, this consumes more water and create more drilling waste.

Advantage to use flocculent unit for the dewatering decanter centrifuge:

By utilizing the GN1500 20FT dewatering flocculent unit, the result is a chemically enhanced flocculation of colloidal and ultra-fine drilled solids that can be efficiently removed with a GN dewatering centrifuge.

For limited and zero discharged closed loop system, the GN dewatering unit is a very important unit to keep the mud clean and reduce the drilling waste which has to be sent for treatment and disposal. Before entering the dewatering phase, for the weighted drilling mud, firstly it enters a barite recovery centrifuge to recovery the barite to the active mud system.

The GN 20 Ft containerized dewatering unit can be transported as a standard 20 ft container The system includes all the standard dewatering components .GN also have the dewatering decanter centrifuge available can be mounted on a separate telescoping skid or on the drilling mud tank.
