Yesterday, GN Solids Control dispatch a big batch of solids control centrifuge & vertical dryer, with pumps, screw conveyors, spare parts etc, totally by 7 12meter long vehicles. The customers is international drilling company with large quantity of land rigs & some workover rigs. After tested GN centrifuge in jobsite, this old customer buys more and more solids control equipment package from us from last year.
For this order, the detail of purchase order is below:
1) 6 sets decanter centrifuge, which will be used for 3 rigs. The centrifuge will be used for barite recovery and mud weight cutting. GN Solids Control centrifuge learn and upgrade many highlights from Alfa Laval, the good frame centrifuge brand from Germany. Now, we have upgrade to 3rd generation centrifuge. The price is good and performance is much better than before.
GN Centrifugal pumps with star-delta starting control panel are widely used in different jobsites in oil & gas field. The centrifugal pump can used for mixing bentonite, transferring drilling mud in solids control system, charging mud pump and working instead of mud pump is some special cases.
1) The pump control panel
For small pump with below 22kw motor, generally direct starter is OK.
For bigger pump with motor between 30kw to 75kw, star-delta starter is necessary. These kinds of starter will lead to high prompt start current and then the current will go down to normal degree after normal operation.
For larger pump with above 55kw motor, soft starter is recommended for easier operation. These kinds of starter current will arise smoothly and no need much bigger generation to match.
Oil price is going down from end of 2014, many drilling rigs stop to drill, thus lead to the equipment suppliers go down of the sales amount, like rig companies, solids control companies, pipes, drill bits etc. However, the drilling waste management field is still strong. We have to support our company with drilling waste management equipment sales this year and also extended to other fields, like horizontal directional drilling, core drilling, mine drilling, diamond drilling etc.
Recently, we just finish one set skid mounted waste management total solution for on line drilling waste management, water based mud. The customer use the Hi-G dryer and centrifuge system to treat the drilling cuttings discharged from shale shakers and recover the useful water based mud and reduce the impact on the environment.
Pumps are mainly for transferring functions in drilling mud system. It is joint for different parts of mud system; the whole drilling mud system can be one unit only with help from various pumps. Like CPP, every year, they buy at least 2 sets from GN Solids Control, which is becoming the most important GN HDD customer. We cherish their feedback and each time make some improvements. Submersible Slurry Pump have a very simple structure design to ensure maximum performance, minimum energy consumption, long operating life and minimum maintenance. Many different designs can suit various transportation needs in process application of grinding circuits, hydrocyclone feed and slurry transfer.
Vertical slurry pumps is what GN Solids Control manufacture as part of solids control system. This kind of pump can be identify in two kinds, the tank pump and Cantilever/sump pumps. The tank pump is consider as dry installed pumps and the sump is incorporated in the pump. It opens inlet to prevent air blocking and operate smoothly. The cantilever structure is single stage and suction with housing bearing, supporting the intermediate pipe connect it to pump’s hydraulic components. The water is exit out from the drainage . The impeller is for semi-shrouded with the agitating vane on the extend. The main point on this pump is underwater shaft part contain enough rigidity, the impeller and pump should not have bearing and seal so it can be deliver greater medium of the solids cutting.
