GN Solids Control main business is in oil drilling & HDD field, for drilling mud system and waste management. For smaller percentage business, GN get it from piling, mining and road construction which require compact and small mud system to clean and recycle the mud. GN offer desanding plant to achieve the target for client.

Recently, we just ship 3 sets desanding plant to one piling client to Southeast Asia. The client issue the PO in the beginning of November and come to GN factory for the inspection. The purchased desanding plant model is GNMS-1000D, with 2ea 10inch desanding cyclones to reach up to 1000gpm treating capacity.

Actually, we attended Bauma exhibition last month, bring the desanding plant there for show. Many clients with piling projects, mining slurry water project, road construction etc. came to GN Solids booth for consulting.

One client from Mexico, they have Derrick desanding plant for the mining slurry process for now. The performance is very good, price is also very higher. The client is trying to find equivalent equipment with lower cost. After we have short meeting to discuss on the working flow, the client is very satisfied with GN desanding plant and also price. He promised to buy one set very soon for test.

Another client from Australia is doing HDD project, he want to find HDD rig and mud system from the show. After he knows GN, we recommend good brand HDD rig company and GN mud system. With quite a lot HDD project list brochure for China and Australia market, the client is convinced that GN can supply good product and high quality service to him. Very soon, the client bought one sets 500gpm mud system for project.

One client from Marocco are needing separation machines to treat the slurry from mining operation. And we quote to them in the show directly. Technical evaluation is under process, and we are waiting for positive feedback from client.

Centrifuge tank works as second phase separation in mud cleaning system. This part is necessary for oil & gas drilling, for deep and complex geological structure drilling operations. Centrifuge tank generally have below options for drilling company:

Option 1: rent centrifuge from solids control service / centrifuge rental company

Compared with other solids control equipment, centrifuge price is higher, as well as the higher cost on maintenance and manpower cost. As the centrifuge is not working during all drilling operations, some drilling company only rent the centrifuge when they need it.  For short terms, the rental service is helpful to drilling contractors, saving cost, time and saving works.

But from long terms, rental centrifuge will lead to higher cost, not as cost-effective as having it’s own equipment.

Option 2: buying centrifuge and train the workers to do the job

If the drilling company have many drilling rigs, and the drilling operations will last for many years. Having their own centrifuge will be much better.

GN Solids Control is China leading centrifuge manufacturer, can sell centrifuge to client or rent centrifuge to client in some area with GN office.

GN can offer middle speed centrifuge, high speed centrifuge, fixed speed centrifuge or variable speed centrifuge, motor drive centrifuge, hydraulic centrifuge etc.

If the client have enough budget, we recommend 2ea VFD centrifuge for each rigsite.  The VFD centrifuge can work flexible at any bowl speed, conveyor speed or differential speed, to achieve the best performance.

If the client budget in tight, we recommend 1ea VFD centrifuge & 1ea fixed speed centrifuge. The VFD centrifuge can work as flexible role and the fixed speed centrifuge can lower down the total cost.

Even the fixed speed centrifuge can change speed, by replacing pulley with belt, just taking more time and more manpower than VFD centrifuge.

Recently, we have inquiry from Africa about 1000bbl mud system for oil drilling rig, and we give below proposal:

1) shale shaker tank

The first tank, shaker tank is equipped with 2 sets shale shaker, 1 set mud cleaner, agitators, centrifugal pumps etc.

Mud tank: 1 set, tank size 11000 X 2100 X 2150mm. The mud tank is oilfield skid mounted tank, the most popular tank type for oil drilling.

Shale shaker: we recommend GNZS594 shale shaker for better working performance, longer shaker deck and composite material screen with long lifetime.  GN composite material screen is replacement for Swaco Mongoose

Mud cleaner: we recommend mud cleaner with 2ea desander cyclones and 12ea desilter cyclones. The deck shaker is same as GNZS594 shaker, thus same type shaker screen is required, no need backup different type screens.

Centrifugal pump is equipped to feeding the mud cleaner cyclones.

The third compartment in mud tank is clean mud after treatment; mud agitator is equipped to suspending the mud.

2) Decanter centrifuge tank

The second tank, centrifuge tank is equipped with 1ea middle speed centrifuge, jet mud hopper and mixing pump.

The centrifuge GNLW452 middle speed centrifuge is used to remove the barite in the mud or other big solids particles.

The mud hopper and mixing pump is used to mixing chemicals into the drilling mud, to adjust the mud weight and mud viscosity.

Mud tank: 1 set, tank size 11000 X 2100 X 2150mm. The mud tank is oilfield skid mounted tank, the most popular tank type for oil drilling.

3) Mud storage tanks

There are another two mud tanks for mud storage, same tank size to shaker tank. The tank is equipped with necessary mud agitators, mud guns and necessary pipelines and other spares.

Many China drilling contractor or oil service company have business in Africa, they bring the high technology there, help the economy development of the local market, and improve the lift of local people.

Recently,  one China government company CNPC have get some project in Africa, and give purchase order to buy drilling waste management package from GN Solids Control.  The package including below items:

1) Mud tanks with High G drying shaker

GN High G drying shaker is very popular to treat the water based mud drilling cuttings discharged from shale shaker. The patent 4 panel shaker is replacement for Swaco Mongoose.

If for oil based mud, vertical cuttings dryer will give much better working performance. However, the purchase cost and maintenance cost of Vertical cuttings dryer will be much higher than High G drying shaker. The client can make decision based on the Mud condition, budget and the special requirement from the owner.

2) Mud tanks with decanter centrifuge & flocculent unit

The WBM drilling cuttings, after treatment of High G drying shaker, the separated liquid should be transfer to decanter centrifuge for 2^nd step treatment. GN decanter centrifuge have different model for option. The most popular model is 14inch bowl centrifuge GNLW363.

This decanter centrifuge is equivalent to Derrick DE1000/ Swaco 518. And we have fixed speed type and variable speed type for option.

If ultra fine solids in liquid cannot be separated by centrifuge, flocculent unit is required to coagulate the ultra fine solids to big particles, then separated by centrifuge.

3) Auxiliary equipment, including screw conveyor, transfer pumps, feeding pumps, is included for the package.

Except above part, GN can offer different model shaker screens to replace the expensive screens from original seller. The screens including:

• GN replacement screen for Derrick FLC500 shaker, Derrick FLC2000 shaker;
• GN replacement screen for Swaco Mongoose shaker
• GN replacement screen for NOV brandt king cobra shaker /VSM shaker
