Methane is also the major component in petroleum natural gas (about 70% &#8211; 90%) that is widely used today. CBM is generated from the microbiological process or thermal process in the coal seam and recognized as one of the cleanest fossil fuels.\u00a0Indonesia has one of the largest CBM reserves\u00a0in\u00a0the world with a potential 453 trillion cubic feet (&#8220;Tcf&#8221;), more than double the country&#8217;s natural gas reserves. The South Sumatra Basin, the largest CBM basin\u00a0in\u00a0Indonesia, is estimated to contain\u00a0in-place resources of approximately 183 Tcf; and the Kutai Basin, the third largest CBM basin\u00a0in Indonesia, is estimated to contain\u00a0in-place resources of approximately 80 Tcf (SPE, 2004).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1927\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1927\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/oilfield.gnsolidscontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/CBM-shale-shaker.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1927\" title=\"CBM shale shaker\" src=\"http:\/\/oilfield.gnsolidscontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/CBM-shale-shaker-300x171.jpg\" alt=\"CBM shale shaker\" width=\"300\" height=\"171\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1927\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">CBM shale shaker<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>GN has exported many sets of mud tank system to Indonesia for<a title=\"CBM project\" href=\"http:\/\/oilfield.gnsolidscontrol.com\/ditch-witch-rig-mud-cleaning-system\/\" target=\"_blank\"> CBM project<\/a>. The technique to exploit CBM is different with that applied to the fossil natural gas, while both share the common in terms of marketing and utilization.
