Normally our agitator material is carbon steel, but sometimes we can make customized equipments, such as customized shaft length, impeller diameter, impeller thickness, material, etc.<\/p>\n<p>A <a title=\"mud agitator\" href=\"http:\/\/oilfield.gnsolidscontrol.com\/mud-agitator\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>mud agitator<\/strong> <\/a>is used in surface mud systems to suspend solids and maintain homogeneous mixture throughout the system. A mechanical agitator is driven by an explosion-proof motor, coupled to a gear box that drives the impeller shaft. The impellers (turbines) transform mechanical power into fluid circulation or agitation. The objective is to obtain a uniform suspension of all solids.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1759\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1759\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/oilfield.gnsolidscontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/mud-agitator1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1759\" title=\"mud agitator\" src=\"http:\/\/oilfield.gnsolidscontrol.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/mud-agitator1-300x184.jpg\" alt=\"mud agitator\" width=\"300\" height=\"184\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1759\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">mud agitator<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mud agitator can be divided into <a title=\"horizontal mounted agitator\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mud_agitator\" target=\"_blank\">horizontal mounted agitator <\/a>and vertical mounted agitator according to mounting method.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Types of Impeller Blades<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Flat blade impeller<\/li>\n<li>Canted blade impeller<\/li>\n<li>Contour <a title=\"blade impeller\" href=\"http:\/\/oilfield.gnsolidscontrol.com\/mud-agitator\/\" target=\"_blank\">blade impeller <\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Derrick mud agitator<\/p>\n<p>All Derrick agitators feature a &#8220;C&#8221; face motor coupled to a rugged oilfield gearbox, which<\/p>\n<p>eliminates misalignment and troublesome couplings. This configuration promotes longer motor and gearbox bearing life. Derrick uses a Helical-Bevel gear unit to turn the impeller.<\/p>\n<p>This highly efficient<a title=\"gearbox\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gnsolidscontrol.com\/drilling\/compact-mud-agitator\/\" target=\"_blank\"> gearbox <\/a>offers a 95% power transfer, which is approximately 30% more than a worm drive gearbox. Helical-Bevel gearboxes are preferred over worm gear arrangements because of their power efficiency, reliability, and lower operating temperatures.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Operating at a noise level of less than 75 dBA Derrick agitators are significantly quieter than the industry standard of 90 dBA.<\/p>\n<p>The Derrick agitator is available in both horizontal (model DE-AG-H) and vertical (model DE-AG-V) configurations \u2013 sizes range from 5 to 30 HP.
